GP JOULE's executive management team.
Ove Petersen (born 1974) is co-founder of GP JOULE and today CEO of the group. In the management team he is responsible for staff development, marketing, sales and corporate communications. The graduate agricultural engineer, who holds a degree from Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences, also runs an agricultural company. Born in Schleswig-Holstein, Ove Petersen is involved in various associations for the development of renewable energies in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, as Chairman of the Board of watt_2.0 and as a member of the Board of LEE SH.
Heinrich Gärtner (born 1972) is also the founder of GP JOULE and now acts as CTO of the company group with a focus on research & development and internationalisation. The born Bavarian studied together with Ove Petersen at Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences. As a qualified agricultural engineer, he also runs an agricultural business. In order to promote the necessary innovative technologies for renewable energies, Heinrich Gärtner is active in various associations, including as a member of the executive committee of the BVES Bundesverband Energiespeicher [German Energy Storage Association].
David Pichard (COO, CDO Americas)
Born in 1974 in the Loire Valley, France; David Pichard completed a MSc degree in Industrial Engineering in France in 1997 before enjoying a 10-year international career in the automotive industry. He later entered the sustainability movement by entering the Green Building industry and earning an MBA at York University in 2007. Starting in 2009, he held different executive positions in the North American PV Industry in contract manufacturing, engineering services before joining GP JOULE as Head of Americas in 2014.
