Reußenköge – Since 2003 GP JOULE has been active in the project planning of wind power, solar and biomass facilities and has already successfully installed over 600 megawatts of renewable power worldwide. The internationally active company develops innovative energy and operation concepts with the aim of achieving a 100% renewable energy future.
GP JOULE focuses on the entire value added chain of renewable energies: the North Frisian company develops smart energy concepts for all relevant sectors - from production and delivery to the use of renewable energy. These are: electricity, heat and mobility. In the photovoltaics sector, GP JOULE has installed more than 450 MW of power in Germany, France, Italy, Canada and the USA. The company has implemented around 150 MW of power in its own wind power plants Germany-wide.
GP JOULE has great plans for the future: the project pipeline worldwide for the next three to four years contains more than 1500 megawatts in the photovoltaics and wind power sectors.
Apart from planning, financing, authorisation and construction, GP JOULE also carries out the commercial and technical management of company-owned as well as non-company-owned facilities. Understanding the general context and having a holistic view of the renewable energy industry finds expression here: currently the company is managing facilities generating in excess of 500 MW of power both technically and/or commercially. The focus is always on ensuring that the managed assets are fully ready and operational for the energy market of the future. GP JOULE utilises professional tools such as Breeze Windfarm Management for digitally analysing and optimising wind parks and for building needs-oriented cockpits which are used to continuously measure and display the analysed data allowing users to view performance with the aid of their own control centres.
In the heat sector, GP JOULE is developing climate-neutral heat usage concepts for stable-cost and secure energy supply, e.g. from local bio-gas plants together with local communities all over Germany.
GP JOULE designs, plans, builds and manages the heat supply infrastructure jointly with the local communities in a Public Private Partnership. In the Bavarian municipality of Buttenwiesen, GP JOULE operates the district heating grid together with the local community via the “Renergiewerke Buttenwiesen” plant operator. The grid already has more than 125 subscribers and is to be expanded to include electricity and e-mobility offers.
A further heat grid is to be commissioned in Mertingen near Augsburg in 2017.
