Reußenköge/Dauerthal – The GP JOULE Group and ENERTRAG AG cooperate. The main focus is the 50 percent holding acquisition of GP Service GmbH & Co. KG by ENRETRAG AG. As part of the GP JOULE Group, GP Service GmbH & Co. KG provides technical and commercial control management services for the operation of PV and wind power powerplants Europe-wide. In this area both companies complement and strengthen each other. GP JOULE Service profits from the greater wind experience of ENERTRAG while ENERTRAG benefits from GP JOULE’s comprehensive solar expertise.
“We are pleased to have found a partner with ENERTRAG, who ideally complements our expertise in the PV area with its wind competence and also has a very similar philosophy and the same expectations with regard to the energy system of the future”, is how Ove Petersen, CEO and co-founder of GP JOULE explains the strategy behind the investment by ENERTRAG. Currently more than 40 employees at GP JOULE Service GmbH & Co. KG are responsible for the technical and commercial control management of over 850 MW generated by solar parks and wind parks in Germany and Europe.
Dr. Gunar Hering, member of the board of ENERTRAG AG, expects to see important impulses generated for future developments: “ENERTRAG is vigorously expanding wind energy above all in the other Northern German states. Our cooperation with GP JOULE accelerates the development of our company enormously and extends our sphere of activity so we are able to offer integrated energy solutions both in Germany and internationally.” Further plans are for ENERTRAG and GP JOULE to support each other in the technical planning and construction of wind and solar parks.
In future Michael Dahm, as second managing director at GP JOULE Service Gmbh & Co. KG, will be working together with the previous managing director, Helge Feddersen. Michael Dahm is also the managing director of ENERTRAG WindStrom. The headquarters of the joint company will remain in Reußenköge, North Frisia.
