Hannover Fair 2019

Hannover/Reußenköge – As a pioneer in sector-coupling projects, GP JOULE presents itself at the Hannover Messe as a strong developer and service provider in the field of renewable energy generation, processing and provision. At this year’s event, the international group will be placing the emphasis on renewable energy and charging solutions aimed at operators of e-fleets and e-car parks. The practice-tested e-mobility package from the GP JOULE group’s CONNECT business unit is extremely economic, reliable in operation and adaptable to technological changes. GP JOULE will also be presenting an overview of the group’s entire performance spectrum – incorporating project planning, financing, EPC/plant construction and operational management of post-EEG systems in the megawatt class – including wind power (on-shore), PV (open space and roof installations), biogas, heat, and power-to-gas.

GP JOULE will present its products in the field of integrated energy in hall 27, stand K46 at the Hannover Messe 2019. The company’s presence at this year’s exhibition will focus on the electrification of corporate vehicle fleets by means of GP JOULE CONNECT. GP JOULE will also be informing visitors about its innovative project solutions for sustainable, requirements-based mobility – both in the construction of entire new residential estates, for example in combination with regenerative heat supplies (district solutions) or for public and individual passenger transport with green hydrogen as a fuel, generated locally from wind energy and made available at hydrogen fuelling stations. The latter is realised in the form of the eFarm project, Germany’s biggest green hydrogen mobility project, which was initiated by GP JOULE and can be witnessed in model form at the stand of NOW GmbH (National Organisation for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology), number B59, also in Hall 27.

Best cost-efficiency for e-fleets – made possible by GP JOULE CONNECT’s combined energy, load and charging management system:

GP JOULE CONNECT supplies a requirements-based combination of charging infrastructure (AC/DC charging stations), charging management, and energy and load management modules, including own (PV) electricity generation, invoicing, and individually tailored service-level agreements. The overall CONNECT system for an e-fleet or e-car park is based on a compact, centralised control cabinet equipped with standardised components, operating within the ambient conditions defined for charging electronics, and featuring tried and tested functionality. The benchmark for this is the CONNECT e-fleet, which has over 60 e-vehicles in daily use, making it one of the biggest such fleets in operation in Germany. Its particular benefits are minimal servicing and maintenance costs coupled with maximum operational reliability, while its optimum fault detection and efficient troubleshooting are facilitated by remote monitoring.

The charge management module of the GP JOULE CONNECT system achieves optimum utilisation and precisely phased subdivision of the available charging power. Optimum operation is ensured by employing a user-class prioritising system  (to avoid expensive and unprofitable power peaks) along with the active, TAB-compliant avoidance of unbalanced loads (this automatic control with non-compliant phase loads prevents aggrieved-party liability claims). There is also an energy management module that is particularly attractive from a cost point of view, which minimises the network connection, takes building loads into consideration, and integrates own PV electricity generation. Other (large) generators and consumers can be integrated without problem. The charging back-end, which was developed in association with partners Phoenix Contact and Has-to-be, offers comprehensive configuration, administration, control and invoicing functions. The charging network is unrestrictedly available with the CONNECT RFID charging card; electric fuelling is available from over 18,000 charging stations in Germany and throughout Europe,  and employees can also be provided with suitable home charging stations.

New fully automatic GPS-based e-fleet analysis in cooperation with TÜV Austria:

To facilitate the adoption of an e-vehicle fleet system, GP JOULE CONNECT now offers fully automated GPS data analysis for a test period of one month. It analyses individual mobility requirements and provides recommendations for the e-fleet, along with suitable charging infrastructures both at the company location and at employees’ homes, with interesting points of charging (POC) for frequently driven routes, based on a comprehensive, professional vehicle and charge infrastructure database. In addition, the customer benefits from a comprehensive economic analysis together with a comparative ecological calculation. The analysis is based on data obtained from GPS loggers provided in the vehicle (no installation is necessary) – in alignment with several databases, including available e-cars in the Germany/Switzerland region with realistic ranges tested by TÜV-Austria, all publicly accessible rapid charging stations in the Germany/Switzerland region.
