Reußenköge / Buttenwiesen, August 6th 2015. As of August 1st 2015, Dr. Michael Seehuber has taken up the post of managing director of H-TEC SYSTEMS, a subsidiary of GP JOULE GmbH. Dr. Seehuber has many years of experience in the renewable energy sector, having already collaborated successfully with GP JOULE as managing director of the PV inverter manufacturer REFUsol and the consultancy firm PV4Life. "Dr. Michael Seehuber is the perfect man for us to position H-TEC SYSTEMS successfully with its products and solutions in a growing market of the future. Not only does he possess the technical expertise, he also has the necessary management experience," says Ove Petersen, managing director of GP JOULE. "Our aim is to work together to develop H-TEC SYSTEMS products to market maturity soon and position them successfully on the market."
H-TEC SYSTEMS specialises in the innovative power-to-gas technology which converts renewable energies into hydrogen using PEM electrolysis, thereby allowing them to be stored. Hydrogen can also be used on the heat market, for material or industrial applications or to power fuel cells, helping to make the energy turnaround take full effect. The core of the technology is the internally developed PEM electrolysis stack, which is already being used in the so-called "power gap filler". This power-to-gas plant and the system it is based on make it possible to compensate for increasing fluctuation in the power grid – thereby tackling one of the major challenges of the energy turnaround. "By putting the power gap filler into operation, we demonstrated that storage technology is no longer in its infancy and that we are well on our way to being able to draw energy solely from climate-friendly regenerative sources in the future," says GP JOULE managing director Heinrich Gärtner. "In Dr. Michael Seehuber we have an experienced partner at our side for this undertaking." Dr. Seehuber will build on previous collaboration with GP JOULE and continue to expand the market potential of H-TEC SYSTEMS based in Buttenwiesen, Bavaria, developing products that are perfectly tailored to customers and users. The aim here will also be to make the most of synergy potential with the GP JOULE research and development department at the Buttenwiesen site, working hand in hand to develop intelligent, attractive concepts and solutions.
