Strong partnership on the North and Baltic sea coast with 500 MW wind power projects in the pipeline.

Reußenköge – GP JOULE GmbH recently acquired 50 percent of the company shares of Nadeva Wind GmbH based in Glücksburg, Schleswig-Holstein. With this step both companies are complementing each other and strengthening their business portfolio as project and concept developers of wind power plants. Their common aim is to promote and create value from regional wind energy beyond the electricity sector.

In the joint projects, where the concentration will be on the Saarland and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in addition to Schleswig-Holstein, GP JOULE will continue to offer all the elements of the value chain together with Nadeva including planning, financing and operating new plants. In future the main focus on the Baltic see coast will be acquisitioning and developing wind energy projects with Nadeva Gmbh right up to the point of authorisation planning, before GP JOULE takes over the further planning and implementation steps as well as the technical and commercial operation of the windfarms after their construction.

“Nadeva Wind GmbH has top-class personnel, which is extremely competent and possesses a great deal of valuable industry know-how. In this way we are able to efficiently complement GP JOULE’s expertise and range of services as a project developer of tailor-made solutions. With our 50-percent interest in the company from Glücksburg, we are now present on both the North sea and Baltic sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein as a project developer. By using these attractive strong-wind locations, we can generate and process wind power at low costs”, says Ove Petersen, managing director and founder of GP JOULE GmbH.

Utilising these high-wind sites is the perfect fit for GP JOULE’s and Nadeva’s business strategy, which is to generate renewable power at low costs. It is the optimum basis for generating additional value from renewables and their low-cost use in further sectors, such as heat, mobility or industry.

GP JOULE and Nadeva currently have set their sights on their project pipeline with a total of around 500 MW in the north of Germany. The plan is to continue developing these projects rapidly and then to possibly participate in the EEG (German Renewable Energies Act) tenders in the second half of 2018 with a number of projects in this pipeline. The aim is always to keep the power generation costs as low as possible.

“We are very pleased to have GP JOULE, one of the most renowned companies in the renewables industry in the North, at our side in the future and thereby be able to drive forward the expansion of wind power plants in the North more effectively and successfully than ever before”, states managing director and founder Kristian Schachlewitz.” His partner Karsten Pedersen adds:

“GP JOULE and Nadeva Wind GmbH complement each other ideally with regard to their expertise, so that we will be able to expand renewable energy even more efficiently, above all with regard to wind power plants in the North.”
