Ove Petersen
Ove Petersen (born 1974) is a co-founder of GP JOULE and now CEO of the group. As part of the management team he is responsible for business development, marketing, sales and corporate communications. Having graduated in agricultural engineering with a degree from the Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences, he also runs an agricultural company. Born in Schleswig-Holstein, Ove Petersen is involved in various associations for the development of renewable energies in the state – for example as Chairman of the Board of watt_2.0 and a Board Member of LEE SH.
Heinrich Gärtner
Heinrich Gärtner (born 1972) is also founder of GP JOULE and now CTO of the group with a focus on research & development and internationalisation. Born in Bavaria, he studied with Ove Petersen at the Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences. He holds a degree in agricultural engineering and likewise runs an agricultural business. In order to promote the necessary innovative technologies for renewable energies, Heinrich Gärtner is actively involved in various associations, for example as a member of the executive committee of BVES Bundesverband Energiespeicher (Federal association for energy storage). 2022 Heinrich Gärtner was elected to the committee of the German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association DWV.
Jürgen Gerold
Jürgen Gerold (born 1967) has been Managing Director and COO at GP JOULE since November 2019. He is responsible for personnel administration as well as the overarching coordination, structuring and digitalisation of cooperation within the group of companies. Following his studies at the University of the Federal Armed Forces, Dipl.-Ing and Dipl.-Wi.Ing (FH) found his way into the business world in several technical-organizational applications. In almost 20 years, he gained extensive experience as project division manager, managing director and COO in several mainly owner-managed medium-sized companies, which he is now looking to apply in the renewable energy sector.
