GP JOULE manages over 2 gigawatts in operations management

At the turn of the year, GP JOULE SERVICE surpassed the 2-gigawatt milestone for power plant capacity in operations management. This encompasses a wide array of services within the commercial and technical management of wind, PV, and green hydrogen plants, covering both the company's own assets and customer projects, highlighting the strategic growth trajectory of the integrated energy supplier.

Over five years, GP JOULE SERVICE has doubled its contract volume in operations management. “I am especially pleased that the market recognises the quality of our services, allowing us to continuously expand our trustworthy relationships with customers,” says Markus van Hümmel, Managing Director of GP JOULE SERVICE. “Our primary focus is on managing the facilities throughout their entire life cycle. All our efforts are directed towards enhancing performance and thereby boosting the returns of the plants through forward-looking monitoring.”

Ongoing development and international activities

A team of approximately 80 skilled professionals oversees the energy generation plants across Germany and France. In photovoltaics, the comprehensive service offering includes not just commercial and technical management but also all services across the entire life cycle of the systems, such as technical consultancy, system optimisation, and solar repowering.

In the wind sector, GP JOULE SERVICE has recently expanded its portfolio to incorporate advisory engineering services, assisting operators in achieving operational risk management via inspections, SCADA data analyses, and condition monitoring systems. To enable predictive, proactive monitoring and cost-efficient operations, digitalisation techniques such as machine learning from the domain of artificial intelligence are utilised.

With its process and quality management certified by ISO 9001:2015, GP JOULE SERVICE guarantees efficient and reliable management of over 2 gigawatts of wind, solar, and electrolysis output.
