GP JOULE PROJECTS Ireland sells Blackhall Solar Farm to Elgin

GP JOULE PROJECTS has successfully completed the sale of the Blackhall Solar Farm in County Meath, Ireland, to Irish investor Elgin. With a planned capacity of around 210 MWp, Blackhall is one of the country’s major utility-scale photovoltaic developments and the second large-scale PV project driven forward by GP JOULE PROJECTS Ireland.

The Irish team of GP JOULE PROJECTS has led the development of Blackhall Solar Farm from its early stages through planning and permitting to the sale. The closing of the transaction marks an important milestone for GP JOULE’s international project development activities and for the further decarbonisation of the Irish power sector.

The sale underscores the role of GP JOULE PROJECTS as an international developer of wind and solar parks, with activities in Germany, Italy, France and Ireland. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
