GP JOULE passes on photovoltaic EPC business in North America to GOLDBECK SOLAR

GP JOULE focuses on the European market and sells its EPC business in North America. The two companies GP JOULE PV Canada Corp. and GP JOULE PV USA Inc. were acquired on September 9th, 2022 by the GOLBECK SOLAR Group.
The two companies in the USA and Canada were previously subsidiaries of the German-based GP JOULE Group, a global provider of renewable energy solutions. The purchase by GOLDBECK SOLAR includes the acquisition of the GP JOULE EPC North American team and the use of the brand locally for a limited period.
GP JOULE launched its EPC business in North American in 2011. GP JOULE has since become a leading provider of solar EPC solutions throughout Canada and the northern US states. Since 2014, the subsidiaries have built over 200 megawatts (MW) of solar farms in the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia and the US states of California, Minnesota and New York. The North American EPC business has a pipeline of more than 500 MW.

GP JOULE has opened offices in Ireland this year as well as in Italy, where it has been active since 2011, as it has been in neighboring France. The energy revolution company acquires, develops, and builds photovoltaic and wind projects in these countries. Moreover, the energy revolution company wants to continue to grow in these countries as well as in its many activities in Germany, where GP JOULE is active across the entire value chain: from electricity generation from renewables to conversion into green hydrogen and heat, to the use of the energy in industries, in households, and in hydrogen and e-mobility.
With the acquisition of GP JOULE PV Canada Corp. and GP JOULE PV USA Inc., GOLDBECK SOLAR will expand its position on the American continent. GP JOULE richtet den Fokus auf den europäischen Markt und gibt das EPC-Geschäft in Nordamerika ab. Die beiden Unternehmen GP JOULE PV Canada Corp. und GP JOULE PV USA Inc. übernimmt mit Wirkung zum 9. September 2022 die GOLBECK SOLAR Gruppe.
Die beiden Gesellschaften in den USA und Kanada waren bislang Töchter der in Deutschland ansässigen GP JOULE Gruppe, einem globalen Anbieter von Lösungen für erneuerbare Energien. Der Kauf durch GOLDBECK SOLAR beinhaltet die Übernahme des gesamten Teams von GP JOULE EPC Nordamerika sowie über einen begrenzten Zeitraum die Nutzung der lokalen Marke.
Das nordamerikanische EPC-Geschäft von GP JOULE startete 2011. GP JOULE hat sich seitdem zu einem führenden Anbieter von Solar-EPC-Lösungen in ganz Kanada und den nördlichen US-Bundesstaaten entwickelt. Seit 2014 wurden über 200 Megawatt (MW) an Solarparks in den kanadischen Provinzen Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia und den US-Bundesstaaten Minnesota und New York gebaut. Das nordamerikanische EPC-Geschäft verfügt über eine Pipeline von mehr als 500 MW.

GP JOULE hat in diesem Jahr sowohl in Irland wie auch in Italien Büros eröffnet. In Italien ist GP JOULE – wie auch in Frankreich – bereits seit 2011 aktiv. Dort akquiriert, plant und baut das Energiewende-Unternehmen Photovoltaik- und Wind-Projekte. In diesen Ländern will das Energiewende-Unternehmen ebenso weiter wachsen wie bei den vielen Aktivitäten in Deutschland, wo GP JOULE in der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette tätig ist: von der Stromerzeugung aus erneuerbaren Energien über die Umwandlung in grünen Wasserstoff und Wärme bis zur Nutzung der Energie in der Industrie, in Haushalten sowie in der Wasserstoff- und der E-Mobilität.
Mit der Akquisition der GP JOULE PV Canada Corp. und der GP JOULE PV USA Inc. wird GOLDBECK SOLAR seine Position auf dem amerikanischen Kontinent ausbauen.
